It’s beautiful isn’t it?! Receiving this in the post today was the highlight of my day! Frankly, I’ve been feeling rather down lately and this gorgeous orange shade really cheered my up! Guess everything will work out for the better, always!
This is a 14″ satchel which is a perfect size for students like myself, fitting my Ipad, A4 notes perfectly with plenty room left too! It’s so beautifully crafted, for those who plan to buy one, STOP HESITATE! The bag was exclusively designed for ASOS where I ordered mine from, some of you may believe I have a craze for orange as my last MK bag was almost the same colour.
The shade is perfect for adding that eye catch effect to an outfit, for summer day outs and also an instant perk-me-up in the constant down pour that is the common of Cardiff!
Ah! My second blog award! Thank you for the nomination Sarah from the Violet Keys. Would like to ask you guys to check out her blog, which is such a cute life style blog with amazing pictures!
Here are my answers to the questions given by Sarah:
- What inspires you to blog? – I started this blog to document my travel experiences across the world, not only that I find myself taking way too much pictures when I’m on holiday but I wanted something more than just a collection of images. Blog is the perfect platform to tell my fellow travelers about the sites/places that I’ve visited. Those experiences are often written from my very own personal perspective, so that’s the personal touch which travel guides cannot offer! Half way through working on my blog, I realised to document my life; the reason being that travelling is simply
NOT the only passion I have. I love all aspects of life, being a foodie, shopaholic and finally a first year Law student!… I realised that I have given such a long answer to this question but to summarise, I guess it is my passion for life that inspires me to blog!
- If you could live anywhere in the world (or beyond) where would it be? –Mmm this is a difficult question because I love New York’s busy lifestyle but also envying a life in the Sunny Australia.
- If you could only eat one cake for the rest of your life, what would it be?-Easy. Black Forest Gateau.
- What Disney character would you be? – Cinderella probably. Because shoes are important to me.
- Marmite… lover or hater?- Hater.
- The one person that inspires you the most?- Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, it sounds silly I know but she motivates me to achieve my best in Law
- One thing about you that you have never mentioned on your blog? – the one thing I can think of at this moment might be that my boyfriend and I are no longer together … does that count?
- Favourite film… of all time? – Mean Girls
- Strangest or funniest thing a stranger has ever said to you? – A guy once came up to me during a fresher’s event: you look familiar. SMOOTH CHAT UP LINE THERE. It’s just creepy!
- Favourite book that you can read over and over again and it never gets old?- Baby Barrista’s book collection!
January 2014 came and greeted us with the usual sparkle in fireworks and of course sent out the alarming panic to all of us- reminding that we are now a year older. Again. Haha I’m kidding!! There is only 1 week left in this month, thought I would keep you us informed about what I got up to.
My plan for this year is to stay healthy and fit, everyday I have more juice and less coffee. A juice that I recently got hooked on is called Naked. Try the Red Machine, it’s made of berries. Super yummy! Below, are just some glimpse of the food I enjoy.
Forgive me for neglecting you, Blog and my dear readers. The Internet connection was extremely slow in China and during those 3 weeks, I had so much plans to see families, trying out the food that I missed. For the first time in eight years, I spent New Years Eve with my grandmother and the rest of my families in China. 13/14 had a special meaning in Mandarin as it sounds similar to what translated as ‘forever and always’ in English. So, yes, I am very lucky having spent that special day with the people I love the most!
Reflecting on my time and achievements made in 2013; Found Love, Started this blog, Travelled to China, Got into Law School.. that’s all I could think of so far. Those achievements are not bad right? 2013 taught me so many things, whether they were bad or nice memories I’m thankful for them because they all have helped me grow into what I am now.
In 2014, I plan to achieve more physically and mentally, to have a healthy mind and a healthy body. Be happy and love whatever life brings!
p.s. dear, whoever is reading this, don’t forget to smile today!
13 hours later, I arrived at Sheng Yang airport and picked up by mum at the arrival gate. I almost slept through my plane journey which is a good decision since the on-flight entertainment system wasn’t so good. One of my ability that I boast about is the fact that never have or had jet lag. Ever. There I was finding myself shopping around the busiest high street with mum and went for sushi the very next day. Oh and IT. WAS. YUMMY. I almost forgot how cheap it i to dine out in China; even something like sushi which is a treat to an ordinary student like myself during my time in Britain.
In the last two days, l literally ‘shopped until I dropped’ as I;ve ben feeling rather tired around 8pm after a long shopping trip! Photos will be up soon showing my latest purchase another day. Today, I visited my great-grandmother, it would be rude not to especially the sole purpose of this trip was to celebrate her 90th birthday. She was not informed that I’m back for this event, therefore I was greeted with such a surprised look when she opened the door! WHAT A SPECIAL MOMENT.
Besides that, I visited a spa nearby with mum. We treated ourselves with a massage, milk and honey treatment and later a korean styled sauna (forgive me for calling this, it sounds silly but it’s basically a sauna with a korean styled room with a tea-table in the middle, so naturally we had tea!) Oh the feeling afterwards,
unbeatable! You feel like loosing 5 pounds off weight! It was such a treat in the cold weather!
Is it just me having the ‘panic moment’ every December of every year? Once again, my Law course at University has coming to an end.. the only way to describe it: TOUGH WORK & SLEEP DEPRIVED.
It has been tough balancing the workload that the tutors throw at you, not to mention the amount of reading plus extra reading required to succeed. Simply, sometimes there isn’t enough time in the day to complete the reading (according to personal experience). Although having ranted about the intensity of this challenging degree; meanwhile I absolutely enjoy many aspects of the law can offer like no other degrees! Its areas of uncertainty which requires you to find out about in much more depth, the ‘blonde moment’ you feel when it comes to something you do not understand in your readings/ lectures, which then motivates you to look into it later… the list goes on. The important thing is that after the hard work, the swotting, the panicking, the potential near breakdown stage. You find yourself ‘click’ all suddenly then the feeling of accomplishment overwhelms you comes right after!
I’ve been working on my essays to meet the deadline due next week, pretty much preoccupied me most of this week. My break was to simply shop online and order christmas presents for family, boyfriends etc. ( nice time management!) Ok, I did have a panic moment yesterday when the realisation of not being access to Google when I jet off to China this time next week, which means I can not do my research for my holiday project/ along with various other essays that I need to given in January! THIS MOMENT OF : GOD. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!?!!? Luckily I’ve come down. Downloading every documents I need onto my laptop shall commence this evening. ASAP.
I have 5 days to figure out what exactly should I bring to North Eastern China at this time of the year, last time I heard it’s minus ten degrees. God. Let’s hope I don’t freeze to death
It’s getting cold outside, nothing beats the chill than faux fur! The first one was a gift from my boyfriend, it’s my early Christmas present ( I demanded it to receive them earlier this year because once again I will me making another trip to China next week! I heard it’s minus ten degrees currently… need to be prepared!) The second coat I bought it when I attended the Student Lock In event earlier this semester.
I love them because they are super chic, either be dressed up at formal/parties or just with casual outfit on a cold day. They are worth the investment!
